Verified ReviewerInsurance Coverage Evaluation.
My travel friend and I signed on to the Jekyl Island program we opted for the Cancelation insurance that allowed for "any reason" coverage. When our situation changed and we called to cancel we got two different agents.
My partner's agent processed her reservation quickly - requiring no additional documentation. The agent I talked to (same day) they sent me a link to complete several insurance claim documents - took a long time. My companion's refund arrived promptly; I received a Claim Denied letter several days later. Calling to resolve this difference, I was put on HOLD for over 5 hours, ultimately they ended the call as they were closing their office and I was told to call again the next day.
The next day I ended up on HOLD while 3 different agents tried to sort out why my claim was $270 less than my companion's claim, processed quickly and void of any paperwork. They had not provided any understanding of as to how the discrepancy happened nor how it could be corrected.

Verified Reviewer |Poor preparation for Covid
Trip to Charleston and Savannah.Great itinerary, group friendly, guides well informed and helpful. I thought with the group geared to seniors that there would be stricter Covid guidelines.
Nope!. Bare minimum. Just proof of original vaccine. No temps taken, no recent self testing prior to joining tour, no testing in situ.
We sat in large groups, 3o plus on tour, travelled on buses and no encouragement to mask up on buses, or lectures. About 12 of us ended up with Covid. I missed half the tour, along with others. I was very disappointed that the attention to physical safety and mobility accommodations didn't extend to Covid precautions.
We were only required to mask on bus after a few started falling ill. Too bad. Road Scholar.
seemed to be the answer to single travel. Even the leaders were surprised how many were sick, and they commented that perhaps the group should have been smaller.
User's recommendation: Wear masks, be wary of large groups. My group was not this size when I signed up!

Your group wasn’t that size when you signed up because they will take reservations up till the day before departure. At this time no state has any protocols or masking policies in place except for high risk places like hospitals, nursing homes and shelters.
And I doubt very much these “leaders” commented the groups should be smaller. They’d allow 50 people if they were willing to pay.
Agree. With how politicized Covid became at it’s peak, I’m surprised OP would ever expect any preventative measures in either of those states. However, I’m sure the tour did pass out MAGA hats, Confederate flags and handguns to open carry.
